Blue eyes
She
had blue eyes. Dark blue. Like navy.
Like the deep dark depths of the ocean.
Like
the sky when the moon is out.
They
don’t have a little bit of green or yellow.
They
are black in the night, and they don’t shine throughout the day.
They stay the same.
But she doesn’t complain.
At the end we all want to be someone new.
She
would probably hate them if they were brown too.
